“The current economic climate, the strengthening links between business and society, company values and the impact of networks will be the four cornerstones of this reunion,” said Prof. Juan J. Toribio. The economics professor is co-academic chair of the event with Prof. José M. Campa.
The IESE Global Alumni Reunion 2008 provides a forum for CEOs and academics to discuss key management issues under the umbrella of“The New Dynamics of Global Business.”
“Our aim is to focus on these four cornerstones, not just from a macroeconomic perspective, but also by examining the cultural, organizational and technological implications of these changes on business today," said Campa. “Today more than ever, a thorough examination of society and management's value systems is crucial," the finance professor said.
“We are working on a special program to mark the conclusion of IESE’s 50th year celebrations which we are sure will be especially interesting,” said Mireia Rius, director of the Alumni Association. “We hope to welcome more alumni than ever to this edition.”
The Global Alumni Reunion is an opportunity to reflect on changing realities in management, the economy and society. Each year, the reunion reunites hundreds of IESE alumni from around the world with their former classmates and faculty.
