Due to continued student interest in the volatile Internet market and the
overwhelming success of last year's event, IESE held its second annual E-business
forum on March 29.
Throughout the day, over 250 MBA students heard from five companies with
proven track records in e-business. In addition, an afternoon recruiting
session, attended by over 20 companies, gave students the opportunity to
learn more about possible careers in Internet-related companies.
The presentations addressed a wide variety of topics, ranging from trends
in Internet technology and how to make products more valuable and user-friendly
to start ups in the new capital market. While many presenters acknowledged
a growing apprehension toward Internet companies by both possible recruits
and clients, most said a proper business model and attention to consumer
needs would help alleviate some of the problems posed by the market today. |
